Publishing the Sun Yat-sen Management Review

Sun Yat-Sen Management Review was founded in 1993. It is one of the earliest academic journals on management published within Taiwan. Chang-Yung Liu, who was at that time the dean of the College of Management, observed that management scholarship was developing rapidly within Taiwan. However, no publications existed to allow scholars to publish their findings regularly. Therefore, he used the limited resources of the College of the Management to create this publication.

This journal has been issued stably thanks to the efforts of former editors-in-chief Chang-Yung Liu, Ting-Peng Liang, Kuang-Shih Yeh, Anlin Chen, Yueh-Hsia Chen, Tung-Ching Lin and An-Lin Chen, and current editor-in-chief Pao-Lien Chen. Currently, it is regularly published four times a year in March, June, September, and December. In addition, special topic issues are published sporadically based on contributions and article quality to serve management scholars and promote jointly the development of management scholarship.

The pages of this journal are completely open. Scholars from all over the world are welcome to contribute. Therefore, all papers are reviewed anonymously. In principle, two expert scholars are asked to review each paper. Both scholars must recommend publication before the paper is accepted to maintain the quality of published papers.

Because this journal is a comprehensive journal, any manuscripts related to the field of management are welcome. However, to strengthen localized management scholarship and the integration of theory and academics, management and policy implications are granted particular focus. Relatively few purely technical papers are published.
